Since 2000, we have carefully selected our leather vendors. To keep our prices low, we skip the middle man and work directly with the best tanneries, leather and hardware distributors in the world. In addition to the amazing aesthetic characteristics of the leather, we use a very low-maintenance leather which is treated with extra layers of natural oils and conditioners during the manufacturing process. As proof to how this provides longevity, some of our early customers (2000 - 2002) returned to add more items to their collections, sending us pictures of those items and saying, even with heavy usage, their items are still in great condition and are really happy with the purchase they made a long time ago!
By the way, our returning customer rate is 50 - 55% (average in the industry 20 - 25%). Thank you to all our customers for your support of a small American manufacturer!
- Handcrafted using premium Italian Lambskin leather. The softest leather lining in the leather industry
- All of our leather products are made from full grain Latigo leather, the most expensive and naturally beautiful layer of an animal hide
- Full-grain leather retains natural characteristics, such as scars and color pigmentation, adding unique character to each item
Want to know how to take care of your leather? Very simple:
- Store Properly: Keep leather items in a cool, dry place, using tissue to maintain shape, and avoid folding to prevent creases.
- Clean Gently: Use warm water, ensure minimal saturation (be extra careful around metal hardware), and let the leather air dry naturally.
- Seek Professional Care: For severe damage or valuable items, consult a leather specialist for advanced restoration.
- Long-Term Care Tips: Rotate your gear to prevent wear, avoid extreme conditions.
We certainly want to make sure you are only punished as you intend ;-P - we can customize some of our items and replace the nickel-plated hardware with solid brass (nickel-free hardware) upon request!
